Meet Estelle McLellan - the girl behind the Shining creation that is This Girl Shines Collective. Born in BC, Canada but raised in England in Leeds and then the British South Coast - Estelle developed an early love of the eclectic. She filled her childhood room with interesting finds, bright magazine cut-outs, and anything that had sparkle. Her Mother left Canada in 1997 after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer, leaving Estelle's Father and her two older sisters with no idea where Estelle and her sister Sarah were Until 2014 when they finally re-connected. Until Estelle lost her Mum in 2007, she was encouraged by her Mum and other family members to embrace her natural creativity. Estelle's interests spread into music, makeup, fashion, art, photography and design. With early memories of her Mum's spontaneous outlook and sense of humour, and a home filled with Music and friends, Estelle's shy creative spirit became inspired. Estelle lost her Mum when she was 12, and likes to share how her early childhood experiences, good or bad, shaped her into who she is today. Going on to study Art & Design at College and working for a Charity in Fashion, Estelle subsequently moved back to Vancouver, BC where she created This Girl Shines and now lives with her Partner Adam and their two dogs Missy & Teddy (Estelle is an absolute animal adorer). Estelle created This Girl Shines as a way to share her thoughts, loves and creativity around fashion, lifestyle, beauty and personal life. In only a few months, she had thousands of followers, and in a year This Girl Shines became a fully fledged opportunity to inspire Shine Seekers everywhere.
